Rossin design upholstery on Icelandic stamp
Since a few years, the South Tyrolean upholstery manufacturer Rossin is very successful in Iceland. The model Dimon, designed by the Icelandic designer Erla Sólveig Oskardsóttir, decorates the 165 ISK stamp. Thanks to a very special design by the most famous Icelandic designer, Dimon was chosen for the Designmusum Hönnunarsafen in Reykjavik. Also the world-famous Concert Hall Harpa trusts the South Tyrolean furniture manufacturer and has chosen Dimon for his public area.
Soft with sharp lines
„On my jogging route along the Reykjavik coastline I used to admire the distant mountains, distinguished by variation of soft slopes and sharp edges. It inspired the sofa. It should be soft with sharp lines.“ This is how it is described by the designer Erla Sólveig Oskardsdóttir, who works as an independent designer in furniture design and cooperates with companies in Europe and USA.
