Roger Webb, Designer for Rossin

Born Nairobi, Kenya 12th February 1949. Educated in Kenya and London, before completing a DipAD in furniture design at Leeds Polytechnic in 1972. Graduated from the Royal College of Art, London in 1975. Worked for Professor Robert Heritage, RDI for seven years on projects for Race Furniture, Gordon Russell, Disform – Spain, B&B Italia and Concord Lighting. Appointed Design Manager Antocks Lairn before becoming co-founder of D+D, a design and development consultancy producing products for Steelcase Inc, Hille, Race, Antocks Lairn, Ness. Established Roger Webb Associates in 1989, based in West London specialising in the design of products for office and contract furniture industry and furniture components. Projects have included office seating for EFG, Sweden, desk ranges for EFG Matthew UK, Pentos Office Furniture, Asher, Spicers and Space-age, soft furniture, tables and contract chairs for Connection Ltd; Office chairs for Verco Office Furniture and Project Office Furniture, moulded plastic components for Plako GmbH, Donati Spa and pre-formed plywood components for Stonebridge Ltd. Lectured at the Royal College of Art, external examiner for UK University Design Degrees, exhibited at the Victoria and Albert Museum and furniture exhibited at many UK, European and American trade exhibitions.
